After such a long time of waiting, the Pfizer vaccine of BioNTech and Pfizer was finally got approval by the Center for Disease Control. FDA and CDC director confirmed this news.
When Pfizer vaccine got its approval has long been a concern of everybody, especially those who are living in the United States. But the waiting finally ends as the CDC director collaborated with FDA to confirm the approval for public usage of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine.
On their Twitter, FDA announced about the news on their video.
“I am pleased to announce that late yesterday, the FDA authorizes for emergency use of the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. This is the first COVID-19 vaccine to be authorized in the United States,” Dr. Robert Redfield said. “The FDA respected worldwide and is considered the “gold standard” regulator of medical products.”
“We applied our high standards of review in reviewing this product so that Americans can have trust and confidence that the vaccine meets the FDA’s rigorous standards for safety and effectiveness,” Dr. Redfield added.
The product of Pfizer and BioNTech announced their efficiency against coronavirus for the first time in November, and since then, several added testing process of the vaccine have been being progressed.
