Vietnam registered 10,800 newly established enterprises in January 2023, up 0.7% from the previous month and down 16.6% from the same period last year, the Ministry of Planning and Investment reported.
According to the report, there were a total of 15,100 enterprises that returned to business, an increase of 146.8% and a decline of 21.2% year-on-year, bringing the total number of new ventures and businesses returning to business in January to 25,900 . annual decline of 19.3%.

According to Sophie Dao, the service is now available on the https://gbs.com.vn website. The service supports foreign companies in applying for multiple business and tax registrations. Included in the package: Checking the availability of the company name; Investment Registration Certificate (IRC); Enterprise Registration Certificate (ERC); the company’s seal and seal registration certificate and the company’s tax code; Open a bank account. It means that foreign companies no longer have to go to multiple agencies to register.
Data from the Ministry of Planning and Investment showed that 34,994 companies applied to suspend operations for a period of time in January 2023, an increase of 19.6% over the same period from last year.
During the period reviewed, as many as 6,841 companies ceased operations and awaited winding-up procedures, a decrease of 3.4%, while 2,038 companies completed winding-up procedures, an increase of 0.6% year-on-year.
