Navigos Group has just released the Salary Survey 2023: Income Situation and Employee Expectations based on analysis of more than 4,100 candidates across 23 industries across the country. The report shows that experienced people are paid 2 to 3 times more than recent graduates.
Specifically, in the field of construction – real estate design, if employees have experience, they will receive a minimum wage of 500 USD / month, the maximum is 2,000 USD / month. Project management is from 650 – 1,500 USD/month (Hanoi) and 800 – 1,000 USD/month (HCMC).
In the electronic equipment technical department, recent graduates with less than 5 years of experience in Hanoi have a salary of USD 300-500/month, HCMC is USD 500-800/month; If you have experience, it is 400 – 600 USD/month (Hanoi) and 900-1,200 USD/month (HCMC). When you become an executive team leader, the salary can be up to USD 1,500/month (Hanoi City) and USD 2,000/month (HCMC); and the Head of Department up to USD 3,000/month (Hanoi City), USD 5,000/month (HCMC).
In information technology and telecommunications, the experienced business development segment has a salary of USD 500 – 1,500/month (Hanoi) and USD 800 – 2,000/month (HCMC); For software development, the starting salary of fresh graduates in Hanoi is 400 – 1,000 USD / month, in HCMC is 700 – 1,200 USD / month, with experience is 1,000 – 3,000 USD / month and move to the expert level is from 3,000 – 5,000 USD / month. Meanwhile, the product development segment has an experience of $800-2,500/month while the head of department has a salary of up to $4,500/month.
In the banking sector, experienced corporate banking costs USD 650 – USD 2,500/month (Hanoi) and USD 800 – USD 1,500/month (HCMC); for the group leader is 1,000 – 6,000 USD/month (Hanoi) and 1,500 – 8,000 USD/month (HCMC). In customer service field with experience, the highest salary is USD 1,200 – USD 1,500/month, for team leader USD 2,000 – USD 2,500/month.
In terms of education and training, the salary for recent graduates with less than 2 years of experience is USD 300 – USD 500/month, with experience USD 500 – USD 1,350/month (Hanoi) and USD 700 – USD 1,200/month (HCMC) and the head of the department is 850 – 1,500 USD/month. The recruitment segment without experience is from USD 400-700/month, with experience from USD 600-1,000/month and the head of department is USD 800-2,000/month. Experienced teachers are 500 – 1,500 USD/month.
The data above shows that the salary of people without experience in Information Technology – Telecommunications is still higher than in most other fields. In addition, the salary of experienced people will be 2-3 times higher than recent graduates, depending on the position and industry field.
Mr. Gaku Echizenya, general manager of Navigos Group, said that today’s employees pay a lot of attention to environmental factors and corporate culture. The majority of respondents chose work environment, salary and company culture as the most important factors to retain employees at the current company with a ratio of 11.21% – 10.55% – 9.56% respectively. Meanwhile, business stability ranked 4th in the list with a rate of 8.05%, flexible working mechanism accounted for 7.27%.
“There are also other factors, such as corporate reputation, direct management, career development, corporate transparency, personal health insurance, that keep employees in their company,” says Gaku Echizenya.
However, the employees still expect the company’s change in salary and bonus policy in 2023. The salary is increased every year by 10% or more, which is the choice that represents the largest share at 45.62%, almost half of the survey participants.
In terms of benefits and allowances, employees expect more benefits from collective activities, culture, arts and tourism at a rate of 5.5%, and at the same time expect companies to have more benefits on public holidays, annual leave (4.70%) and an increase in basic compensation (4.58%).
Employees also expect a safe company and a stable career when unexpected risk factors arise, as well as an open work environment and frank exchange of information.
