Manchester United continued to cut out unimportant names from the squad. Recently, Marcos Rojo joined Boca Juniors from the Red Devils.
At the end day of Winter Transfer Window, Rojo of Manchester United joined Boca Juniors after both sides agreed on a permanent deal for the Argentine defender. Rojo will wear the number 6 shirt at his new club. His medical test with new club was finished on Monday before the official announcement about this deal went off. Finally, this move ended the seven-year long of Rojo’s service at the Manchester side.
United did not discuss about the fee for this transfer. On their website, the club representative wrote. “Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has completed his transfer to Boca Juniors, for an undisclosed fee.”
“The 30-year-old will return to his homeland on a permanent basis, after agreeing terms with the reigning Argentinian champions.
Everyone at the club would like to wish him all the best for the future,” the statement added.

Last year, Rojo came back to his homeland once when he had a short loan spell at Estudiantes – where he began his professional career. The center back returned to Manchester United after Estudiantes refused a permanent deal for their old lad, explaining that their financial did not allow a deal.
Rojo left the club without any single displays for the Red Devils in this season campaign. He became the fifth choice for the center back position at the club behind Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe.
The Argentine defender joined Manchester United in 2014, after a successful World Cup campaign with his national team. He moved to Manchester with a price tag of €20 million from Sporting Lisbon. After seven years playing for the red side of Manchester, Rojo has won 1 FA Cup, 1 Community Shield, 1 EFL Cup, and 1 UEFA Europa League. He participated in some important showcases of the Red Devils although he never established himself as a regular choice of first team.
Anyway, his 7 years long at Manchester United will be memorable. At least, he was a part of such a iconic club in England.
