Vietnam will benefit from a series of major transport infrastructure projects in 2023.
The North-South Highway will be a huge improvement to Vietnam’s transportation once completed, with work to be carried out between 2021-2025 on 12 sections for the Phase 2 leg of the project, worldhighways.com reported.
Other important Vietnamese projects include the Bao Loc to Lien Khuong Expressway, the Tan Phu to Bao Loc Expressway, the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway, the 76 km Ring Road 3 project and the 121 km Dong Dang -Tra Linh expressway.
The Dong Dang-Tra Linh Expressway project will be carried out under the PPP model. Construction is expected to cost $970 million. And will connect Cao Bang province with Lang Son province. The first phase should be delivered in 2025, when work on the second phase will start. The work will be carried out by the Deo Ca Group.
Meanwhile, authorities in Lam Dong province are requesting a $107 million funding package for work on the Bao Loc-Lien Khuong highway. The authorities have approached the Vietnamese government for this part of the necessary funding. The project will be carried out according to the PPP model. Construction will begin soon, with completion in 2026. The project is expected to cost a total of $833.4 million, with Lam Dong province authorities providing $331.5 million and the remainder to be provided by investors.
And plans for the new 200 km ring road to connect Ho Chi Minh City with Ba Ria-Vun Tau provinces, Dong Nai province, Long An province and Binh Duong province are progressing. Much of the Beltway No4 route has three lanes in each direction, although some stretches have four lanes in each direction, according to worldhighways.com
