The Miss Vietnam Business 2023 pageant will take place from March 15 to 22 in Da Nang City, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reports.
According to details provided by the organizers on Jan. 5, the beauty pageant is open to businesswomen aged 25 to 55 living and working across the country.
The event’s grand finale kicks off March 22 in Da Nang City and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV8 channel.
The beauty pageant was first held in July 2022, and the occasion also took place in Da Nang City.
The purpose of the position is to create a platform for talented and beautiful business women across the country, providing them with opportunities to participate in the current period of economic integration and engage in community activities.
Hailing from the northern province of Hai Duong, Mac Thi Minh surpassed 30 other contestants to claim the title of Miss Vietnam Business 2022 at the finals of the pageant held in Da Nang City on July 14 last year. According to the VOV, the winner received a crown worth VND 1.5 billion.
The number of beauty pageants held in Vietnam is growing rapidly, with nearly 20 annual events. Most of the pageants were organized by industry groups and entertainment companies, including Miss Universe Vietnam and Miss Ethnic Vietnam, Miss Ao Dai Vietnam and Miss Sports Vietnam.
According to a report from local media, many more are scheduled for this year. The emergence of new pageants is credited to the Department of Performing Arts relaxing regulations on such events in February 2021 and the industry has seen a tenfold increase.
