Gasoline prices in Vietnam rose slightly on Tuesday’s latest adjustment due to rising global prices and the impact of a new tax.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the price of RON95 biofuel per liter has been increased by 350 Vietnamese dongs ($0.01) to 22,150 Vietnamese dongs ($0.94).
E5 RON92 petro price increased by 330 Vietnamese dongs ($0.01) to 21,350 Vietnamese dongs ($0.90).
The price of diesel oil remained unchanged at 22,150 Vietnamese dongs ($0.94) per litre.
The adjustment in gasoline prices this time was influenced by rising gasoline prices worldwide and the new environmental tax on gasoline that came into effect on January 1 this year, local media reported.
In 2022, gasoline prices in Vietnam were adjusted up 17 times and down 16 times, the local newspaper Quan doi Nhan dan (People’s Army) reported on Tuesday.
