YouTube has added a new feature for its users on the smartphone, and it revolves around “Go Live Together”, which allows collaborators to work on projects together. It offers a new way to connect and add people who do a live stream, share their content with the world together and show off what they have in store for the public.
Google’s famous streaming platform has long been a live streaming opportunity and revolves around various events and festivities for the public.

Team YouTube announced via its Twitter page that the company is now expanding its collaborations on the platform for Livestreams under the new feature called “Go Live Together”. No, YouTube does not ask you to move into a house together, but allows you to join a live stream with your colleagues or collaborator to appear in one showcase.
This feature allows people to co-stream live videos on the platform or add guests, and this feature is available directly in the smartphone app.
According to Google, YouTubers can also choose to schedule their live streams and invite guests in advance so they can sync their times to appear together.
The only requirement for this “Go Live Together” feature is 50 or more subscribers to enable the co-streaming feature.

YouTube Live like Instagram’s Livestream?
This feature isn’t new anymore, as Meta’s Instagram has been adding this feature for quite some time through the Stories feature, and guests who want to join can request to appear in the same live video together. Additionally, in 2021, Meta expanded its Stories Livestream feature to add up to three additional contributors to a single stream.
This is similar to YouTube’s feature now, as it revolves around a vertical live video format on smartphones that focuses on collaboration.
YouTube, an online content hub
YouTube has long been a platform for multimedia content including creations by YouTubers, vloggers, artists and aspiring stars to showcase their talent or life online. As of last February, the streaming platform has already started the monetization program for its vertical video format, Shorts.
The platform has been a user-generated hub since the beginning, where people share information to show to the world, consisting of influencers, advertisers, the public and more.
The platform, which is owned by Google, also aims to focus on users as much as possible and has recently improved its spam and bot detection to avoid data discrepancies, especially for big names in the industry.
Apart from producing videos that are going to be big on the platform, YouTube also allows people to live stream various events or random content from almost anyone with a registered account. This new feature aims to open avenues for collaboration and promote similar views or ideals with this “Go Live Together” feature, now available to everyone.
