Meanwhile, the first half Windows 11 updates were unnamed, but according to Microsoft’s blog, they decided to collectively call them the March 2023 Quality Updates. New software is usually released on the second of each month, a so-called “Tuesday Patch”.

What is clear is that this is not a larger feature update. Windows 11 continues its feature update cycle in the second half. Feature updates are tied to the support lifecycle. Windows Home and Pro versions are supported for 24 months, and Enterprise and Education versions are supported for 36 months.
Its association with Windows 12 is also weak. Microsoft would test Windows 12 in a new canary channel.
There doesn’t seem to be a lot of new features added in the second half. WindowsLatest reports that the company has ended major overhaul plans, calling it Windows 12 feature update in the second half of the year. The next generation Windows platform will be germanium and Windows 11 23H2 will use the existing nickel (22H2) platform. 23H2, that is, the function update in the second half of 2023 should also focus on internal improvements rather than drastic changes. There’s always the possibility of a surprise introduction of a new feature set.
