Vietnamese cuisine is a delicate combination of many spices and fresh ingredients. It is diverse, rich, tasty, exotic and differs from region to region.
Vietnam has been named Asia’s Best Culinary Destination in 2022 by the third World Culinary Awards.
According to the report, the Southeast Asian nation has surpassed many other destinations such as China, Malaysia, Singapore, the Republic of Korea and Thailand to earn the accreditation.
“The results are based on a year-long search for the world’s best culinary brands, with experts and the public participating in related votes,” Rina van Staden, director of the annual awards, told reporter.
“The winners of the 2022 edition are those who have strived to take culinary excellence around the world to the next level,” added Rina van Staden.

Vietnamese food
Vietnamese cuisine doesn’t win any points for complexity. Many of the most popular dishes can be made just as well on the side of the road as they can in a top restaurant. But it is precisely that simplicity, the subtle variations per region and the fresh ingredients, that make you want more on a plastic stool.
Vietnamese cuisine is highly rated in prestigious competitions and ranking organizations around the world. Last October, Vietnam was ranked 5th in the top 10 countries worldwide with the best food by the readers of Canadian magazine The Travel.
On December 1, Michelin announced for the first time Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as the latest destinations to join the MICHELIN Guide’s international selection. In June 2023, MICHELIN inspectors will present their list of selected restaurants Vietnamese news agency reported.
