The woman who cut off her husband’s penis and testicles last weekend in northern Vietnam has since accused the man of repeatedly molesting her own daughter.
On Tuesday morning, police in Son La province confirmed that they had arrested Ha Thi N., 36, of Yen Chau district, after she cut off her husband’s genitals on Sunday night, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported.

The officers are also checking information that the victim – 29-year-old Nguyen Van H. – assaulted N.’s 15-year-old daughter after the woman’s accusation.
According to Nguyen Anh Thom, a member of the Hanoi Nar Association who has pledged to provide legal aid to N., she suspected that H. had been constantly harassing her teenage daughter since 2020.
The woman recently decided to place a secret camera to have proof of her suspicion.
After seeing the images of H. sexually assaulting his stepdaughter, N. became furious and cut off her husband’s penis and testicles with a knife on Sunday evening.
She then threw away the severed genitals before turning herself in to the local police.
Agents have received the camera placed by N. and have done forensic examinations on her daughter to facilitate their investigation.
According to Article 135 of the Criminal Code, N.’s actions can be regarded as causing injury in a highly agitated state of mind, explains lawyer Thom.
According to previous reports, the man was admitted to Son La Province General Hospital for emergency treatment after the incident.
The patient suffered a complex injury, but after timely treatment and care, his life is out of danger, doctors said.
