According to data from Amazon Global Selling, the total number of products sold by Vietnamese companies on Amazon has reached 10 million in the past year (end of August 2022). About 80% of these goods are concentrated in the kitchen appliances, household appliances and textile industries. With the kitchenware industry accounting for 20-30%, this is still the mainstay of Vietnamese businesses on Amazon as of 2019.
Compared to commodity groups that are often tightly controlled, such as pharmaceuticals or cosmetics, the crafts and home decoration industries are easier to sell and penetrate into the European and American markets.
“Rattan and bamboo, handmade decorations are emerging industries of Vietnamese enterprises due to their small, light, easy to transport, no best-before date,” said a company representative.
