According to new data announced by the General Customs Administration, collected through the first half of November, phones and components are still Vietnam’s largest export commodity group with sales of more than USD 52 billion.

In particular, in the first half of November (November 1-15), Vietnam’s exports of phones and components reached USD 2.38 billion, a decrease of USD 290 million, which corresponds to a decrease of 10.9% compared to the second half of October.
However, accumulated from the beginning of the year to November 15, the above commodities group still maintained positive growth momentum and held the position of Vietnam’s largest export group.
As of November 15, Vietnam’s 2022 export sales of phones and components amounted to USD 52.75 billion, up 7.8% from the same period last year, an increase of USD 3.8 billion.
In terms of export markets, China led with sales of USD 12.99 billion, up 9.5%, followed by the US (USD 10.8 billion, up 37.2%), the EU (5. USD 89 billion, down 6.4% and South Korea ($4.57 billion, up 12.6%).
From the beginning of the year to November 15, the country’s total export sales amounted to USD 326.68 billion, an increase of 14.83% over the same period last year, equivalent to a sales increase of USD 42.2 billion. In which only phones and components contributed more than 16.1%.
