According to the Nation Brand Report from the world’s leading independent brand valuation and strategy advisory organization Brand Finance (UK), Vietnam’s national brand equity was ranked 47th in the top 100 strong national brand equity in the world in 2015.
In the period 2015-2021, Vietnam’s national brand value has changed a lot. In 2015, Vietnam’s national brand value was valued at USD 140 billion by Brand Finance, ranked 47th in the top 100 strong national brand values in the world.
By 2022, the value of Vietnam’s national brand is estimated to be USD 431 billion, ranking it 32nd in the top 100 strong national brand values in the world.
For example, after 8 years, the value of Vietnam’s national brand has increased by USD 291 billion and improved 15 places in the ranking of 100 strong national brand values in the world.

Moreover, according to the Vietnam National Brand Valuation Report 2022 recently published by Brand Finance, in terms of the growth rate of the national brand equity, Vietnam is assessed as a bright spot in the picture of building and developing a global national brand. In addition, the Vietnamese national brand has the fastest value growth in the world, reaching 74% during the period hit by Covid-19 (2019-2022).
As for the ranking of national brand values of countries in the world, many countries have not been able to maintain the ranking of national brands due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, according to Brand Finance’s assessment, Vietnam still maintains and ranks in the top 100 of strong national brand values in the world in the period 2019-2022.
Specifically, in 2019, Vietnam was in 42nd place, in 2020 it rose 9 places to 33rd, in 2021 it maintained 33rd and in 2022 it rose from 1st place to 32nd.
According to the Trade Promotion Agency, the above positive results have confirmed the appropriate guidelines and policies of the Vietnamese party and government in building and developing the Vietnamese national brand. Moreover, the dynamism and creativity of Vietnamese companies in their efforts to build and develop product brands and corporate brands contribute to increasing the value of Vietnam’s national brand in the international arena.
