The improved position of the UTM in the classification of the World University QS is the result of strategic progress through several key dimensions, including a remarkable rise of 112 places in the international research network (now classified 3rd in Malaysia), an increase of 45 places of quotes per faculty (also 3rd in Malaysia), an improvement of 8 places in the academic reputation, a gain of 28 places in the ratio of teacher-students and a strong performance in the international diversity of students, where the UTM is classified 132nd worldwide with students representing 85 nationalities.
