UMP Healthcare Innov Center recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the
Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI), witnessed by Head of Israel Economic and Commercial Mission in Hong Kong and Macau, to jointly promote Israeli scientific research and start-up companies in the medical and healthcare field in Hong Kong, and to seek cooperation opportunities in the fields of MedTech and HealthTech. At the same occasion, IEICI inked a collaboration pact with the
Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association (HKMHDIA) to foster tighter cooperation between Hong Kong and Israeli enterprises.

With an aging population and increased need for medical professionals, the tendency is to create medical technology to relieve the strain on human resources. The parties will collaborate to promote medical technology and healthcare products, seek potential investors for medical technology and products, jointly organize and participate in various forum activities, provide consulting services for start-up companies, and so on, according to the framework established by the memorandum.
