On the evening of May 17, the 18th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival in 2022 with the theme “Vibrant Every Experience” was officially concluded.
The closing night was still quite busy with people taking advantage of the last day to buy a discounted tour they had previously considered, or choose more regional specialties brought home by many provinces to present to the people of Ho Introducing Chi Minh City.
It is estimated that more than 150,000 visitors came to the fair for shopping, which is lower than the 200,000 visitors expected by the organizers.
The representative of Dat Viet Tour Company said that the time of the festival this year is a bit unfavorable because it coincides with major events such as Buddha’s birthday, the 31st SEA Games and the last two days fall on a weekday… the event is “watered down”. †
However, the number of visitors who visit and close the tour is quite high. In just the first two days, this company’s booth sold more than 300 different tours and services.
Likewise, the booths of the companies Vietravel, Saigontourist, Vietnam Tourism, Sasco Travel, TST tourist… had many activities and activities that attracted a large number of people to participate, entertain and give attractive tour offers.
160 stalls from 48 provinces and cities and 44 travel agencies, hotels, airlines, tourist destinations, culinary… have created an unforgettable festive atmosphere after two years.
According to the Ministry of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, many incentive packages were announced at this year’s festival, meeting the diverse choices of domestic and foreign tourists, many new and unique tourism services and products. Unique, many services plus attractive attract the wanderlust of the city people.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa – deputy director of the city’s Ministry of Tourism – said that the results of the tourism festival have successfully contributed to the goal of boosting domestic tourism in summer, introducing tourism destinations, an exciting atmosphere for the tourism industry in Vietnam in general and tourism in Ho Chi Minh City in particular, during the period of accelerated opening to welcome international visitors.
The representative of the department also confirmed that after this event, the city’s tourism industry will continue to promote the implementation of solutions in the tourism recovery and economic development plan.
Along with that, the plan is to welcome international tourists, overcome the difficulties and backlogs of the tourism industry in human resources, coordinate to build diversification and tourism products, and improve the quality of tourism services. All this in preparation for the ITE International Tourism Fair event in September 2022 with the message “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City”.
