    • Three days of additional children’s childcare leaves support for parents of children under the age of 18
    • Is part of a broader commitment to supporting working parents, including childcare grants and hybrid work options

SINGAPORE,, April 3, 2025 / Prnewswire / – Trip.com Group announced an expansion of its family policies, with three additional days of children’s childcare leave for employees with children under the age of 18. This initiative, which takes effect immediately, should benefit more than 10,000 employees worldwide, strengthening the company’s commitment to support parents who work and promote the balance between professional and private life.

Additional support for parents at each stage

Being “adapted to the family” is one of the four key pillars of the Trip.com group’s sustainability framework, guiding their commitment to promoting a workplace support culture. The expansion of childcare leave is part of the continuous efforts of the Trip.com group to create a more inclusive workplace, completing a range of existing advantages, such as childcare subsidies, hybrid work agreements and even support for childcare on site.

The three additional days of child care even apply to parents of older children, guaranteeing flexibility and support for employees at different stages of parenting. Previously, the law of the employees’s childcare varies varied according to the country, according to local statutory benefits. The new policy offers a coherent improvement worldwide, giving all eligible employees more time to take care of their children without compromising their professional responsibilities.

“The education of a child requires more than just financial support – this involves time, care and a solid support system,” said a spokesperson for the HR team from the Trip.com group. “By improving our childcare leave policy, we aim to give parents the flexibility they need to be present for their children while retaining their careers.”

Bingxing zhouan employee based at Shanghaiexpressed her joy when she learned the news for the first time. “I am really happy to learn that we now have three days of additional child care. As children grow up, they actually need more time with their parents. I am happy to be able to spend more time with my child to do significant things, while maintaining a balance with work.”

Others have mentioned that additional childcare leave helps parents even after the newborn scene. “The emphasis is already placed on maternity and paternity leave locally, but this new childcare policy is an excellent step forward. It shows that the company understands that parents need time and flexibility to take care of their children even at subsequent stages,” said Jessica Lai of Singapore desk.

Annwen Bristow, from the British office, also explained how it helps unexpected circumstances, “being a working mother, having to leave work suddenly to pick up a sick child happens too often. This new initiative reduces the stress of having to do it and prioritizes my child. Very appreciated!”

    Strengthen family policies

In addition to childcare leave, the company continues to invest in family support initiatives. In 2023, the Trip.com group allocated approximately A billion yuan (approximately 137.6 million US dollars) in childcare subsidies, offering employees who have worked in the company for over three years an annual species premium 10,000 yuan (approximately US $ 1376.44) for each child from birth to the age of five. To date, this has benefited more than 1,130 employees worldwide, the employees using it for essential expenses such as formula, strata, health care and education.

Promote the well-being of employees and the balance between professional and private life

The introduction of additional child care aligned with the wider efforts of the Trip.com group to improve the well-being of the employees. In recent years, the company has focused on hybrid work provisions, allowing employees to work remotely on the designated days, which has allowed 900,000 hours of travel and benefited families around the world.

The results are improvement reports of employee satisfaction, the increased balance of work-life work and even reducing the congestion of traffic in the cities of the world.

In addition, the Trip.com group has seen almost 100% of employees return to work after maternity leave, a testimony to the efficiency of its work support policies. These efforts, combined with paid parental leave and grants to daycare, underline the company’s commitment to the equality of the workplace and career development.

A sustainable approach and focused on employees
