HONG KONG SAR – Media Awareness – September 1, 2023 – A decade later, the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS) and the Hong Kong College of Cardiology (HKCC) are once again co-hosting the largest heart rhythm scientific conference in the Asia-Pacific region in Hong Kong. The “16th APHRS Scientific Session in Conjunction with CardioRhythm 2023 (APHRS 2023)” brings together cardiologists from around the world to exchange the latest knowledge and ideas, with the aim of stimulating global development in the management of cardiac arrhythmias. Over 2,300 Cardiology Experts ‘Embracing the Breakthroughs’ Together
APHRS is the first and only society organized in the Asia-Pacific region to promote excellence and progress in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart rhythm disorders. The annual scientific session is the culmination of its activities. 2023 is the second time APHRS and HKCC have co-hosted the joint APHRS and CardioRhythm meeting in Hong Kong, and the last joint meeting was exactly 10 years ago.
With the theme “Embracing the Breakthroughs”, more than 2,300 participants from 48 countries or regions will explore and deliberate on advancement and innovation in the science and management of heart rhythm disorders at the meeting. The latest developments in cardiac pacing, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachyarrhythmia will be presented. Innovation in cardiac arrhythmia mapping and ablation will be showcased in both lectures and case demonstrations.
Financial Secretary and Health Secretary wish meeting success
The opening ceremony was held on the first day of the meeting and received congratulatory videos from Mr. Paul Chan, HKSAR Financial Secretary, and Prof. Chung-Mau Lo, Health Secretary. They wished the meeting to go smoothly and successfully despite unstable weather.
