The Cam Lam – Vinh Hao The highway crosses three central provinces: 5 km to Khanh Hoa, 63km in Ninh Thuan, and 12km in Binh Thuan.
It is developed by a consortium of Deo Ca Group and 194 Construction Investment Corporation, both based in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total investment of VND8.925 trillion ($356.64 million) under a public-private partnership contract.
On behalf of HCMC, the section would connect with the Phan Thiet – Vinh Hao Expressway. He crosses an arid desert area, winding through hilly terrain, with Vung Mountain in Ninh Thuan P.the province looms on the horizon.
The highway, designed with four lanes, two on each side, allows cars to travel at a maximum speed of 90 kmph and a minimum of 60 km/h.
Along the route,intelligent transportation systemvschandeliers and cameras exploited by solar panels were installed. The road surface is covered with asphalt and anti-glare iron mesh panels are installed on the solid median strip for night drivers.
Mountain slopes along the highway at Tuy Phong Disstrict from Binh Thuan province were reinforced with concrete to prevent landslides and ensure vehicle safety.
The highway includes a total of 34 bridges, including 22 on the highway, 11 viaducts and one bridge connecting National Road 1.

Like Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet Expressway, Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway does not have an emergency lane on each side, but instead has an emergency stops along the road, spaced 4 to 5 km apart.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, deputy project director, said all elements would be completed so that the highway could be put into operation by the upcoming Reunification Day – Labor Day, April 30 and May 1.
The bridge crossing the Can River at Khanh Hoa’s Cam Ranh City is the last section connecting the Cam Lam – Vinh Hoa highway to Cam Lam – Nha Trang Ehighway in Khanh Hoa.
When operational, the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao section will provide a seamless connection from Nha Trang to Saigon via highways, through Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet – Dau Day, Dau Day – Long Thanh – HCMC roads in the south.
The route will reduce travel time between HCMC and Nha Trang about five hours, halve the duration compared to taking national road 1 like now.
