TAITRONICS and AIoT Taiwan 2024 showcases the latest advancements in electronics, AI, and IoT, marking TAITRONICS’ 50thh anniversary and highlighting Taiwan’s global trade growth and technological leadership.
On October 23, 2024, the “Taipei International Electronics Industry Technology Exhibition (TAITRONICS)” and the “Taiwan International Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things Exhibition (AIoT Taiwan)” officially kicked off at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei. This is one of the largest events in the field of electronics and artificial intelligence in Taiwan, attracting more than 300 domestic and international companies, with 550 booths showcasing a 40% increase compared to last year. This year’s event not only celebrates the 50th anniversary of TAITRONICS but also opens up new opportunities for businesses in the technology sector.
With the theme “AInnovation Now,” this year’s exhibition focuses on four key areas: AIoT applications, satellite technology, innovation-driven dynamics, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These themes reflect the rapid advancements in technology and present collaboration opportunities for companies both domestically and internationally.

Simon Wang, a representative from the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), delivered a welcoming speech during the opening ceremony. He expressed his honor in attending the 50th anniversary celebration of TAITRONICS, emphasizing that this is a significant occasion not just for the exhibition but for the entire electronics industry in Taiwan. He noted that Taiwan’s total trade volume exceeded 780 billion USD in the past year and is now aiming for the 800 billion USD target, despite challenges from the global economic situation, such as inflation and geopolitical uncertainties. Under the leadership of Minister Guo, Taiwan’s exports from January to September this year have grown by 10.2%, surpassing major economies such as the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, and Germany.
Simon Wang also highlighted that the main reason for this impressive growth is the remarkable development of the information and communication technology (ICT) industry, which has experienced an astonishing growth rate of 80%. The ICT sector plays a crucial role not only in Taiwan’s economy but also closely relates to the goals that TAITRONICS is pursuing in promoting new technologies.

Additionally, Richard Tsu-Chin Lee, the Chairman of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), shared important updates during the event. He announced that a ceremony would take place at noon today at the Hanlai Taipei Hotel, featuring a speech by Dr. Chien-Jen Chen, former Minister of Science and Technology, along with a keynote address by Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou. Richard extended his heartfelt thanks to the leaders and organizations that provided support during the preparation for the event. He also announced the establishment of the Taiwan AI Alliance (AIAI), which involves collaboration among eight major organizations to promote the development of the high-tech industry in Taiwan.
This year’s exhibition continues to tap into the AIoT trend, with notable participation from companies such as Advantech, Etron Technology, and Innolux, showcasing advanced technologies from IoT solutions to smart products that aim to create new experiences for attendees.
The “Drone Taiwan” area is also highlighted in this year’s exhibition. Here, 24 drone manufacturers will showcase their innovative strength and advanced technologies. The products and solutions in the drone sector not only demonstrate Taiwan’s potential but also serve as a testament to the ongoing efforts in technology development.
In addition to the exhibition booths, various engaging forums and workshops will take place, focusing on topics such as AI technology, innovative applications, and sustainable collaboration solutions between AI, the environment, and businesses. Notably, an “AIoT Forum: A New Era of AI” will feature leading experts from the United States, Europe, and Taiwan, sharing their insights and experiences in the field of AI.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of TAITRONICS, a memory wall has been established, allowing visitors to send their congratulations and hopes for the future of Taiwan’s electronics industry. This is an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the past and look toward a promising future.
This event is not just an opportunity to showcase the latest technologies but also serves as a platform for businesses in the electronics and AI sectors in Taiwan to connect, share experiences, and promote sustainable growth in the industry. The exhibition will take place from October 23 to 25 at the Nangang Exhibition Center, offering a rich variety of activities, promising exciting and valuable experiences for all attendees. Participating organizations hope that this event will create new collaboration opportunities, contributing to the collective development of the technology industry in Taiwan and globally.
