BOSTON and rolle, Swiss,, April 29, 2025 / Prnewswire / – Sophia Genetics (NASDAQ: SOPH), a native health technology company and a world leader in data -based medicine, announced today the expansion of its current collaboration with Astrazeneca (LSE / STO / NASDAQ: AZN) to accelerate the deployment of MSK -ACCESS® with Sophia DDM ™. Based on the initial collaboration announced in October 2024This new phase will extend the scope of the test to a total of 30 clinical institutions worldwide in 2025.

Developed in collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, MSK-ACCESS® powered with Sophia DDM ™ is an innovative liquid biopsy test application designed to detect exploitable genomic alterations in a single blood sample using cutting-edge algorithms of the technology that analyze the circulating tumor. The application supports the monitoring of cancer in real time and the selection of treatment when traditional tissue biopsies are not achievable due to the cost, execution time, insufficient tissue or the invasiveness of the procedure.
The enlarged deployment will continue to contribute to the global initiatives of real evidence of Astrazeneca and helps to further validate the clinical impact of decentralized liquid biopsy tests through various health systems. By increasing the availability of MSK-Access® supplied with Sophia DDM ™, Sophia Genetics and Astrazeneca aim to better understand how liquid biopsy tests can complete solid tests and, in some cases, offer greater advantage to laboratories and patients.
The announcement coincides with the presentation of Sophia Genetics in Aacr, in which the company presented data demonstrating the solid transferability of the decentralized MSK-ACCESS® with Sophia DDMTM solution. Historically, site discrepancy was a major obstacle to the generalized adoption of liquid biopsy tests. Sophia Genetics presented real data highlighting the coherent accuracy and precision of MSK-Access® powered with Sophia DDMTM in various laboratory contexts. The provisional results of the multicenter study have demonstrated the high analytical performance of the decentralized test in accordance with the original test with unique site at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in new York.
“Our collaboration with Astrazeneca represents an important step towards scaling new generation oncology diagnostics on a global scale,” said Ross MukenPresident, Sophia Genetics. “This extended deployment reflects the growing momentum of liquid biopsy and our common ambition to make these technologies more accessible and impactful worldwide.”
