From November 29 to December 10, the CrossFire Stars 2023 Grand Finals concluded at Gaoxin Gymnasium in Chengdu, having witnessed one of the biggest competitions in CrossFire esports history. Vietnamese team CrossFire RANKING ESPORTS (RK) finished in fourth place in the 2023 CFS Grand Finals. RK won $120,000 in prize money, a significant share of $1.42M. In the quarterfinals, RK won over CFPL third seed XROCK in 3:2.

Lee highlighted that 12 different international teams participated in the CFS 2023 Grand Finals, including three Chinese teams (BaiSha Gaming, CHENGDU ALL GAMERS and XROCK), two Egyptian teams (3BL Esports, Anubis Gaming), two Vietnamese teams (CaraHouse. 2L and RANKING ESPORTS), two Brazilian teams (VINCIT Gaming and Imperial), a North American team (Kungarna), a European team (LCK) and a Philippine team (Pacific Macta).
On November 28, the Chengdu government held a press conference titled “Chengdu Global Esports Competitions 2023-2024 Launch,” alongside its iconic Twin Towers. The government revealed that five global esports competitions, including the 2023 CFS Grand Finals, the Honor of Kings International Championship, and the Naraka Bladepoint World Championship, would be held in Chengdu in December. Chengdu Minister of Propaganda Gu Xuefu said at the conference that Chengdu aims to become the “esports cultural city” in China, and Chengdu Gaoxin District hopes to surpass the industrial scale of ¥ 60 billion RMB ($8.36 billion).
“At the CFS 2023 Grand Finale, Tencent and Smilegate partnered with Wenshu Monastery, an ancient temple in Chengdu, by setting up a special booth inside this iconic venue,” said Lee.
