Samsung has launched an expanded gaming monitor lineup today, June 21.
The expanded Samsung Odyssey monitor lineup will be available globally. It follows the launch of the curved gaming monitor in 2020.
The lineup will provide “gamers of all skill sets with superb picture quality and futuristic design,” according to a statement posted on the company’s official website.

Samsung Odyssey’s expanded lineup will feature flat screen gaming monitors with widths ranging from 24 to 28 inches. It also features hyper-real picture quality, higher response level, tailored ergonomics, and intuitive disability, per the official statement.
“Gaming connects the entire world through shared experiences,” said Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business. Ha adds that the expanded monitor lineup will enrich the gaming experience for more players, regardless of the kind of gaming they play.
Included in Samsung’s expanded lineup are:
Odyssey G7 28″ (Model G70A) – features include Ultra High Definition (UHD) panel with 178-degree viewing angle, HDR400, and 4K industry-leading 144Hz refresh rate and ultra-low 1ms2 response time.
Odyssey G5 27″ (Model G50A) – the first Samsung Odyssey that features a Quad High Definition Panel (QHD). Other specs also include HDR10 for graphics, G-SYNC compatibility, and 165Hz refresh rate delivering a 1ms3 response time. The monitor comes with a height-adjustable stand.
Odyssey G3 24″ and 27″ (Model G3OA) – The monitor has a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms4 (MPRT) response time, AMD FreeSync Premium, as well as its own height-adjustable stand.
This year’s expanded lineup isn’t the first of Samsung’s Odyssey range of products. Back in 2017, the company entered the gaming laptop market with its Notebook Odyssey lineup.

Samsung’s Other Gaming Monitors
The new Odyssey monitors join Samsung’s current range of gaming monitors available in-store and online. These include:
49″ CRG9 Dual QHD Curved QLED Gaming Monitor – with AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 technology and 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung likens it to having two two 27-inch QHD displays side by side.
27″ CRG5 Gaming Monitor – has 240Hz refresh rate, 1500R curved screen, and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility
27″ JG56 WQHD Gaming Monitor – features include rapid 144Hz screen refresh rate that can be adjusted to 60 Hz/120 Hz for optimized monitor performance, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and curved display.
27″ CFG73 Gaming Monitor with Quantum Dot – features a curved monitor with a 1ms (MPRT) response time and 144Hz screen refresh. The Quantum Dot technology enables a wider range of more accurate colors.
What’s Next for Samsung Gaming

The expanded Odyssey lineup isn’t the only thing that gamers can look forward to from Samsung.
Samsung has announced early this year that its future mobile phones will have AMD Graphics Cards. This latest feature, once applied and sold in the market, will greatly benefit mobile game players as it will ensure better performance during gaming.
