A press render of the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 5 we’ve been hearing about since late last month has surfaced, revealing its rugged design.
The image was shared by leaker Evan Blass, who claimed that the Xcover 5 is not a successor to last year’s Xcover Pro, but a follow-up to the Xcover 4 launched in 2019.

While we haven’t heard from Samsung about the Galaxy Xcover 5 yet, the smartphone has moved closer to launch by earning the Bluetooth SIG certification.
The CA has not detailed specifications for the Xcover 5, but they have confirmed that it will ship with Bluetooth 5.0 and have two models – SM-G525F and SM-G525_DS. The latter is likely a dual-SIM variant, and the former was spotted on Geekbench last month with an Exynos 850 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and Android 11.

The rest of the Galaxy Xcover 5’s rumored specs include a 5.3-inch HD + LCD display, 64GB storage, a microSD card slot, and a 3000mAh user-replaceable battery that will charge via a USB port. -C up to 15 W.
The Xcover 5 is said to have 16MP main and 5MP selfie cameras, and comes with a built-in NFC chip. It will be IP68 dust and water proof, MIL-STD-810G certified and cost around € 300.
