The REA will organize a second
Side event at 4 p.m. on “Financing the energy access gap in last mile communities in Nigeria (https://apo-opa.co/3N79acl)” the same day, December 5, in partnership with
InfraCredit, an institution renowned for unlocking long-term infrastructure financing in local currency in Nigeria. This second side event is aimed at a more specialized group of renewable energy developers, financiers and investors in the global off-grid space.

Set to be a focal point of the COP28 agenda, the REA side event aims to highlight the country’s data-driven energy transition journey as well as the agency’s series of interventions in of renewable energies and their impact in key sectors of the economy.
With a focus on leveraging innovation for social impact, economic growth and environmental sustainability, the agency will showcase its mitigation and adaptation interventions through the use of sustainable energy solutions while that it addresses the dual challenge of energy poverty, climate change and sustainable development. growth in Nigeria.
