Global industry summit to forge new partnerships, drive investment and accelerate inclusive industrial growth
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, November 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — In two weeks, Riyadh will host the 21st session of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), a crucial global gathering dedicated to transforming industrial policy into action. The conference will be held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center from November 23-27, 2025, bringing together ministers, business leaders, investors and innovators under the theme “The power of investment and partnerships to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs”.
Ahead of the General Conference, LDCMC11 – a ministerial conference dedicated to least developed countries on November 22 – will focus on investment, innovation and transformative industrial policies. This summit provides a decisive platform for transforming dialogue into policy outcomes, concrete alliances and tangible agreements that drive industrial progress in advanced and emerging economies.
This five-day working summit will be a collaborative platform that will move participants from high-level strategy to on-the-ground execution. The agenda, which will be released soon, includes plenary sessions, ministerial roundtables, focused solutions discussions and interactive exhibitions. These will be built around the core mission of mobilizing capital, scaling cutting-edge technologies and forging the cross-border partnerships needed to accelerate sustainable and resilient industrialization globally. Dedicated spaces for business-to-business, business-to-government and government-to-government engagement will ensure that every meeting results in a concrete outcome.
The global significance of the summit is further enhanced by its timing, as Riyadh also hosts the 11th Least Developed Countries Ministerial Conference (LDCMC11) on November 22, just before GC21. This back-to-back programming creates a crucial link between policy dialogue and tangible results, enabling ministers to advance the implementation of UNIDO’s operational strategy for LDCs – particularly on technology transfer, value chain development and productive capacity building – to ensure that industrial transformation delivers concrete benefits to the world’s most vulnerable economies.
As registrations open, UNIDO and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia look forward to bringing together a powerful coalition of Member States, international organizations, private sector leaders, academia and civil society.
