pest control companyintroduced Biogents BG-Counter 2, a revolutionary remote mosquito monitoring device in Singapore, to help combat the growing mosquito problem in an environmentally friendly way.

Pesticide resistance and warming temperatures have made it difficult to control mosquitoes in Singapore.
Mosquito control must be faster, better and more efficient without having to increase the use of insecticides that kill pollinators and can harm human health.
Biogents BG-Counter 2 is the first commercially available remote monitoring device in Singapore. This innovative device works seamlessly with the Biogents trap, which has a localized coverage area of 20 meters radius. The Biogents trap uses a combination of octenol (a human sweat mimic) and CO2 to attract mosquitoes and trap them. The BG Counter 2’s smart recognition technology and infrared light barriers allow it to distinguish between mosquitoes and other insects, sending a wireless count of captured mosquitoes to the Biogents Remote Counter account.
As part of Rentokil’s Integrated Mosquito Management program, the Biogents BG Counter 2 provides real-time data on mosquito populations, enabling early action to control and reduce mosquito populations on your premises. Biogents BG Counter 2 facilitates a better understanding of mosquito activities which helps to create more personalized and targeted mosquito treatment plans for elimination. For example, at
get rid of mosquitoes successfully, this could help determine the most effective time to spray and can help to understand if control measures have been effective. The use of such devices can lead to more judicious and targeted use of pesticides, which can control mosquitoes without harming pollinators or other beneficial insects, making them an environmentally friendly solution to mosquito control.

“Despite routine pest control treatments, our neighborhood is still experiencing an increase in dengue fever cases. However, after implementing the Biogents BG-Counter 2, we have seen impressive results, significantly reducing the mosquito population.
