The iPhone 12S is expected to have the same design as the current 12 series, except for being slightly thicker. LetsGoDigital and Concept creator has teamed up to create speculative 3D renderings of what the iPhone 12S Pro will look like.
The design is not an exact replica of the current Pro as the notch is smaller. Even more important, however, is what you can’t see. On the one hand, Apple is expected to include its very first integrated fingerprint reader on the 2021 models.

Who will provide these sensors is an interesting question. Maybe it’s Qualcomm, which already sells 5G modems to Apple. This would mean an ultrasonic FP reader. Going with another vendor makes an optical drive more likely. Either way, Face ID is here for now, as is the notch.
These renderings for the iPhone 12S Pro show a “brave” move by Apple – removing the wired port. Instead, charging can be done using the MagSafe system. The difference is already pretty slim with Lightning providing 20W of power while the MagSafe does 15W (and a second gen system can go higher).
Plus, with Wi-Fi 6E support, wireless data transfers will be faster than Lightning has ever been (it’s limited to USB 2.0 speeds). Regardless, despite the slightly thicker chassis, the new phones are expected to have virtually identical battery capacities.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that the 12S Pro and 12S Pro Max will have an improved ultra-wide-angle camera – with a bright f / 1.8 lens and autofocus. This year, the smaller Pro can also use sensor offset stabilization instead of the usual OIS system. Other than that, major camera upgrades aren’t expected anytime soon.

This is all speculation based on rumors and analyst forecasts. The new iPhones are due in September – there should be no delays this year.
