Released in February 2020 And April 2022respectively, Sonic the Hedgehog And Sonic the Hedgehog 2 won a combined $725.2 million on a global scale and generated $181 million in consumer spending from home entertainment rentals and purchases. Last April, spinoff series “Knuckles” debuted on Paramount+, earning over 11M total hours worldwide in its first 28 days of broadcast, making it the #1 kids and family series in terms of hours on the platform.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 released in theaters last month with an “A” CinemaScore and has the franchise’s best Certified Fresh 86% Rotten Tomatoes review score (tied for first for highest-rated video game film adaptations of all time) and franchise best 96% Checked hot Popcornmeter score, earn more $312 million globally to date.
