OceanX Education, an initiative by Dalio Philanthropies aimed at developing the next generation of ocean leaders, will pilot three weeks of educational programs in March, reaching nearly 400 young people and educators in Singapore for the first time. The goal of the initiative is to provide next-generation ocean leaders with hands-on learning experiences aboard the OceanXplorer, the most advanced exploration, scientific research and media production vessel ever built.
Educators from the Conservation International Singapore network are visiting OceanXplorer, the world’s most advanced research vessel, as part of new OceanX education programs starting this week in Singapore.
Pilot programming will include a hybrid version of OceanX Education’s flagship product
Young Explorers Program, educator experiences, immersion experiences and ship visits. Through workshops, hands-on activities and science communication projects, participants will gain experience and understanding of ocean science, maritime operations, media, storytelling and science communication.

OceanX Education partners with Conservation International Singapore, National University of Singapore Lee Kong Chian Museum of Natural History, Nanyang Technological University, Temasek Foundation and World Wide Fund for Nature – Singapore to offer its pilot programs to the Singapore educational community. This partnership with local educational leaders allows OceanX Education to teach and learn from an engaged and diverse group of future ocean leaders.
