The nubia Red Magic 6 arrives on March 4 with improved cooling, and company president Ni Fei has visited Weibo to give us a detailed look at the components that make cooling excellent.
Dubbed Ice 6.0, the cooling of the nubia Red Magic 6 uses pretty much every trick in the book. It all starts with the air duct, from which the new active 20,000 rpm fan draws air. There is a large sheet of copper covering the battery, while a vapor chamber (nubia claims it is the thinnest in the world at 0.33mm) sits behind the motherboard, connected by thermal paste. . Finally, there is a layer of graphite to further disperse the heat from the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The cooling inside the nubia Red Magic 6 promises more than 2 hours of playtime without the device getting uncomfortably hot.
The president of nubia mobile devices teased another image, that of the nubia RedMagic Watch, which is also due to arrive at the event on March 4.
We know that it will use the standard 1.39-inch 454×454 AMOLED display and have automatic brightness (a rarity among smartwatches), two buttons, heart rate monitoring, but no oxygen sensor in the blood.
As for the Nubia Red Magic 6 – it will come in two variants – a vanilla and a pro. The Pro will support a 120W load which can recharge 50% of the battery in 5 minutes (and will come with the appropriate charger), the non-Pro will do 66W.
