A coach carrying 10 passengers, including nine foreigners and a Vietnamese, nearly fell into a precipice on National Highway 27C in Khanh Vinh district, Khanh Hoa province of south-central Vietnam on Sunday morning. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
According to a Khanh Vinh District People’s Committee leader, the bus, numbered 92F-00306 and driven by Pham Dinh Nghia, 53, of Hoi An city in Quang Nam province, was traveling from Nha Trang city in Van de Khanh Hoa province to the city of Da Lat in Lam Dong province in the Central Highlands. The crash also broke power lines and local energy agencies suspended power to the western part of Khanh Vinh district to ensure safety, according to Tuoi Tre News.
National Highway 27C is a well-known tourist route of 120 kilometers that connects Nha Trang and Da Lat. Along the way, the route has many hills, sharp turns, cliffs and precipices, which according to Khanh Vinh People’s Committee pose a high risk of traffic accidents.
