A private luxury resort along Nha Trang’s coastal road has been dismantled to create open space for the public to enjoy the city’s famous natural beach.

Demolition of the 28,000 m² site was completed on Wednesday and the entire facilities of the Evason Ana Madara complex disappeared from the beach next to Tran Phu Street in the city center.
On January 17, several excavators were seen clearing remaining concrete debris along Tran Phu. The next day, all that remained of the rubble of Ana Mandara was gone.
After more than a year of dismantling, all the structures and rooms of the former Evason station have finally been emptied so that people can once again freely access the waterfront.

The resort was built in 1995, covering 28,000 m² of land and occupying 10,000 m² of water area, in accordance with a rental contract signed with the provincial authorities of Khanh Hoa, where Nha Trang is located.
In June 2022, the province decided to return the space to public use.
“Now the road leading to the beach has become much more airy and wider,” said Khai An, an 18-year-old resident.

According to the Nha Trang municipal government, the area will be used as a public beach and park, accompanied by commercial stalls to provide services and amenities to beach and park users.
The area will also include restaurants, cafes and bars.
