Elon Musk said in a social media post that his planned cage fight with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will be streamed live on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Social media moguls have been rocking a mixed martial arts cage match in Las Vegas since June.
“The Zuck vs. Musk fight will be streamed live on X. All proceeds will go to veterans charities,” Musk said in a post on X early Sunday morning, without giving further details.
Earlier on Sunday, Musk said on X that he “lifts weights all day long, prepping for the fight,” adding that he doesn’t have time to train, so he puts the weights on. at work.
When a user on X asked Musk the purpose of the fight, Musk responded by saying “It’s a civilized form of warfare. Men love warfare.”
Meta did not respond to a Reuters request for comment on Musk’s post.
The hubbub began when Musk said in a June 20 post that he was “ready for a cage match” with Zuckerberg, who is trained in jiujitsu.
A day later, Zuckerberg, 39, who posted photos of the matches he won on his company’s Instagram platform, asked Musk, 51, to ‘send the location’ for the proposed knockdown , to which Musk replied “Vegas Octagon”, referring to an event center where mixed martial arts (MMA) championship fights take place.
Musk then said he would start training if the cage fight took shape.
