HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – August 27, 2023 – The annual flagship event, the Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF), wrapped up at Cyberport today. The three-day event (August 25-27, 2023) featured 90 speakers and more than 3,500 attendees participated in-person and online. The DELF is one of the activities celebrating Cyberport’s 20th anniversary and an important part of the “Happy Hong Kong” campaign which aims to provide a diverse local entertainment experience to the general public.
This year’s edition of the DELF is themed “Power Up! When entertainment goes beyond 3 borders”. The DELF brought together international and local experts and artists to discuss the latest trends in the digital entertainment industry and provided insight into how digital entertainment experiences in the arts, education, sports and lifestyle are changing in the age of Web3. The four experience zones featured in the DELF, namely Artainment, Edutainment, Sportainment and LOHAS, including a fashion show hosted by Cyberport community startup Ubivox and Vivienne Tam, Heart Resonance, an immersive art installation based on the IA, an HTC VIVE VR painting experience Crossing solutions with renowned Hong Kong Aurora Painter Bernard Wong, a platform based on the Moxy.io blockchain – eSPORTS FOR ALL, DroneSoccer, Sportopia and more, providing visitors with an experience amazing for immersing yourself in extraordinary digital entertainment creations from a variety of fields. In addition, Cyberport has been co-organizing the Elderly e-Sports Tournament & Experience Day since 2018 with various organizations, to promote e-sports among the elderly, improve their physical and mental well-being, increase their social commitment, and promote interaction with younger generations. The eSports Seniors Tournament and Experience Day took place today, with the oldest participant aged 85. The winner of the Guangdong Mahjong Contest is Danny Tse.
