The new technology provides advanced performance by neutralizing a wide range of odors, keeping textiles fresh for longer. It meets GB/T 33610 and ISO 17299 testing standards for four of the most common odorants: isovaleric acid (IVA), acetic acid (HOAc), ammonia (NH3) and nonenal, which makes it a revolutionary solution to combat unpleasant odors.
“Freshology was developed by balancing and optimizing performance between different chemical profiles,” said Ryan Scottsenior product development chemist at Microban. “The technology offers key benefits to consumers: it effectively traps a wide range of body odors, unlike products that only target one specific odor. Additionally, it improves moisture management and improves softness and the feel of the treated fabrics.”
Freshology is integrated into synthetic materials such as polyester, nylon and spandex during the finishing process and captures odors until the fabric is washed. When washing, the technology releases trapped odors, thus renewing the effectiveness of the product. It is non-ionic, which allows the incorporation of additional technologies or treatments during manufacturing without compromising the integrity of the product.
The technology does not contain heavy metals, making it a more desirable solution than those using metal-based chemicals. It is also factory-friendly, allowing easy integration into existing manufacturing processes.
