Today, Jerry will follow “a fish” to see how it makes its way from a fish pond in Zhongshan to the dining tables of Macau.

Known for their safety, abundance and effectiveness, live aquatic products represent approximately 70% of Macau walk. For example, Zhongshan Shuichu Group (Zhongshan Foodstuffs & Aquatic IMP. & EXP. Group Co. Ltd.), which operates this fish pond, supplies freshwater fish to Macau And Hong Kong for almost 70 years, offering varieties like crispy grass carp (a specialty of Zhongshan), bighead carp and mud carp.
Zhongshan is home to more than a dozen companies supplying goods to Macau. From Macau return to China 25 years ago, a large volume of essential goods was supplied to Macau under the supervision of Zhongshan Customs, including about 400,000 live pigs, 105,000 tons of aquatic products and 285,000 tons of fresh vegetables.
Through this unique journey, Jerry witnessed the deep integration of cities within the Greater Bay Area. In just a few hours, a live fish can go from a fish pond in Zhongshan to a dining table in Macau. He believes in the story of Macau and Zhongshan will continue to develop.
