Toronto,, January 30, 2025 / Prnewswire /-Kinectrics and Isotopia have announced a revolutionary agreement under which the Kinectrics will provide isotopia a reliable supply of Gadolinium-160 (GD-160). This critical isotope will allow the production of isotopia of terbium-161 (TB-161), a medical isotope showing a great promise and superiority for use in radiotherapies, including therapies targeting prostate tumors and neuroendocrine.


This partnership represents a significant front step in the fight against access limited to GD-160, an obstacle which has long limited the advancement of treatments based on TB-161 in clinical trials. The Kinectrics provide proven expertise in the enrichment of isotopes to YTTTERBIUM-176 (YB-176) and now takes advantage of this technology to advance GD-160. Isotopia systematically produced high quality quantities at the Lu-177 commercial scale and has produced in the past two years on a weekly basis for its own clinical trial. With access to secure GD-160, this agreement should accelerate the development of Radiotherapeutics based on TB-161, bringing them closer to one more commercial availability.
