HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – September 22, 2023 – Kerry Logistics Network Limited (“Kerry Logistics Network”, “KLN”; stock code 0636.HK) has won the ESG Benchmark Award – Silver Award and the Outstanding Sustainability and dividend growth for the second consecutive year at the 2022/2023 ESG Achievement Awards (the “Awards”), highlighting its achievements in environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) and sustainable practices.
Organized by the Institute of ESG & Benchmark (IESGB), this year’s awards are themed “ESG Champions: Pioneering Sustainable Development”, aiming to recognize the importance of sustainable practices and salute the efforts of companies operating in Hong Kong that have created a positive impact.
Ellis Cheng, Executive Director and Chairman of the Sustainability Committee at Kerry Logistics Network, said: “We are delighted to be recognized again by the IESGB for our sustainability performance and continued progress in ESG. In 2022, KLN established its Sustainability Committee, responsible for assessing sustainability risks and opportunities, recommending ESG strategies and monitoring sustainability reporting. During the year, KLN also secured its first sustainable loan and developed a three-year approach to improve its sustainability disclosure based on recommendations from the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) . It was also the first logistics company in Hong Kong to deploy a 5.5 tonne electric truck, in a bid to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
