The deal between the Toffees and the Cherries has finally accomplished. Joshua King joined Everton at the last day of Winter Transfer Market.
Everton closed the deal on the Norway International star just only few minutes before the closure of Winter Transfer Market. As Joshua King joined Everton, his former club, Bournemouth has made a replacement for him, signing a loan spell with Southampton’s Shane Long. The Cherries also agreed with Fulham, but has finally nodded their head for Everton. King former contract with the club is expiring soon, and it has ended even sooner.
After failing to convince King, Fulham has signed a loan deal with Josh Maja with an option to buy at the end of this season. For Bournemouth, a loan spell of Long from Southampton would be a good replacement for King whose future at the Saints has closed afterward the loan spell of Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino.
King is the record holder of the Cherries. He scored 53 goals in 184 appearances for the club. At the same time, King also the Premier League goals scoring recorder of Bournemouth.
Previously, Bournemouth rejected the transfer of more than $20 millions for King from Manchester United. West Ham was another club that tried to seduce the Cherries to sell on King, but no offers were accepted. It has to be until now that Bournemouth opens for bargains and feels pleasing to release King.
Anyway, his scoring form this season is quite shaking due to his uncertain future with the club. Last season, he got 6 goals scored after only 13 shots and usually played as second striker alongside Callum Wilson who earlier departed for Newcastle United in the summer.
Speed is his strongest “weapon”, and totally, King will be a good addition for Everton attacking.
Well, King is back in the Premier League, and every single clubs should be careful with this clinical striker.
