HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – November 2, 2023 – The
31st Hong Kong Optical Exhibitionorganized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and co-organized by the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association (HKOMA), will return to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (HKCEC) as a physical exhibition for the first time since 2019. The physical event will take place from November 8 to 10 under the integrated physical-online EXHIBITION+ mode, where around 700 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions will showcase the latest eyewear designs and products.

Regional pavilions will include Mainland China, Taiwan, Italy, Japan, Korea, Visionaries of Style and the HKOMA Pavilion. The show also has several themed exhibition areas to facilitate buyers’ purchases.
In response to the craze for smart glasses, this year’s Salon de l’Optique will feature the Smart Glasses zone. Hong Kong exhibitor Solos Technology Limited will present smart glasses combining ChatGPT and AirGo™ 3 wearable technology. Hong Kong company 3DNA Technology Limited uses software with
360-degree facial scanning technology to help customers make custom-fit glasses. Other themed areas will feature professional eyewear, eyewear accessories, frames, lenses, contact lenses, diagnostic instruments, optical instruments and much more.

Users can press and hold an action button on the temple of the smart glasses to ask ChatGPT a question. In response, they will see the answer through the lenses and also hear the answer read.
