    DONGGUAN, CHINA – Media OutReach Newswire – March 28, 2024 – Artificial intelligence (AI), deep collaboration between partners and building a strong ecosystem foundation have been championed as next-level growth drivers towards new opportunities in the digitalization of the industry during the recent connection of Huawei Cloud APAC partners. Summit 2024.

    Huawei Cloud Asia Pacific welcomed around 500 participants comprising partners from over 13 countries at its invitation-only partner event, held under the theme “Accelerating Intelligence with Everything as a Service”. The annual summit took place on March 26-27 at Huawei’s Songshan Lake campus in Dongguan, China.

    Gratitude towards partners and stages of growth

    In the summit’s opening speech, Jacqueline Shi, president of Huawei Cloud Computing’s global marketing and sales department, attributed the enormous growth over the past four years to the immense support of its partners. She highlighted that in the Asia-Pacific region, the number of partners with annual revenues exceeding $10 million, $5 million and $1 million has increased by 300%.

    In his keynote speech, Ken Kang, President of Huawei Cloud Computing’s Global Ecosystem Department, outlined the key areas that will guide the Huawei Cloud Ecosystem Strategy for 2024. “At present, we have more than 45,000 partners worldwide to provide our customers with an end-to-end solution.     “Developers are at the heart of our ecosystem. With more than 160 innovation centers and two competence centers around the world, we equip developers with enablement, certification and technical support services. Our pool of developers outside of China has developed a CAGR of over 400%.

    Ken explained that the six priority sectors are finance, retail, carriers, healthcare, education and automotive, where more than 100 common solutions will be built based on customer requirements to accelerate digital transformation industry customers. Additionally, a digital transformation and systems integration partnership program focused on consulting and industrial system integrators (SIs) will be launched. Manpower resources for partners will be increased through the deployment of dedicated Partner Success Managers to Huawei offices outside China.

    Hybrid cloud takes the lead with Rapid breakthroughs in the Big Data and AI markets

    In his opening presentation, Huawei Cloud APAC President Zeng Xingyun highlighted Huawei Cloud’s rapid breakthroughs in the big data and AI markets. In 2023, overall cloud activity in Asia Pacific is expected to increase by 77%, the number of Big Data and AI projects to increase fivefold, and revenues to increase tenfold. Over the past four years, Huawei Cloud’s revenue in the Asia-Pacific region has grown twenty-fold, making it the fastest-growing consumer cloud service provider in the Asia-Pacific region.

    “We will focus on 6-star products and solutions, including Huawei Cloud Stack, Big Data & AI, Media Services, Database, Security and PaaS, to deepen cooperation with top professional partners. Additionally, we will provide 15% to 25% in additional incentives to help partners improve their professional service and sales capabilities and develop key products and solutions in market segments.

    Meanwhile, Frost & Sullivan’s Asia Pacific Emerging Hybrid Cloud Market Report placed Huawei Cloud ahead of all other vendors in terms of market performance, technical innovation and customer services. In addition, Huawei Cloud took the first market share in the hybrid cloud markets in Hong Kong (China), Thailand, Bangladesh, Maldives and Sri Lanka and is second in Singapore and Malaysia.

    He also outlined the six collaborative efforts for shared success, namely shared sales, shared market, shared ecosystem, shared infrastructure, shared technology and shared platform.

    Acceleration of partner sales

    Meanwhile, in another keynote speech, Nicole Lu, President of Huawei Cloud APAC Business Partner Development Department, mentioned that in 2024, Huawei Cloud will continue to strengthen the win-win model for business partners.     Nicole also revealed the expansion of the Big Bet Partners program. First introduced in 2023, it targets partners who have earned or intend to earn $1 million. The program includes significant revenue targets, which will be set in signed framework agreements. There will be an additional 15% incentive and preferential distribution of Huawei opportunities to ensure the targets are met.

    Cloud for AI, AI for Cloud

    To help organizations leverage AI, William Fang, Chief Product Officer of Huawei Cloud, highlighted Huawei’s two-pronged strategy in his speech: “Cloud for AI” and “AI for Cloud.”

    The Cloud for AI strategy helps organizations ensure their cloud infrastructure supports the effective use of AI. In “AI for Cloud,” Pangu models bridge the gap between AI and industry needs through powerful scenarios and industry-specific models. For example, the Pangu automotive model enables AI-assisted vehicle design, while the Pangu weather model enables typhoon tracking.

    The main innovations highlighted were, among others, GaussDB, Pangu AI Models and Huawei Cloud Stack.

    At the summit, Huawei Cloud launched the product portfolio for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), including HECS X Instance, HECS L Instance, HCCE and HGaussDB, which will be available in April. The HECS X instance is Huawei Cloud’s new solution, specially designed for flexible computing. It shows how Huawei Cloud supports the shift from elastic to flexible computing, meeting customer needs with adaptive on-demand computing. With the HECS X instance, users can select what they want from over 100 custom specifications. It offers twice the performance for the same specifications and a leapfrog experience at an affordable price.

In addition, Huawei Cloud will work with partners to launch products and solutions in the GTM phase, enabling end customers to use and manage the cloud.
