Ken explained that the six priority sectors are finance, retail, carriers, healthcare, education and automotive, where more than 100 common solutions will be built based on customer requirements to accelerate digital transformation industry customers. Manpower resources for partners will be increased through the deployment of dedicated Partner Success Managers to Huawei offices outside China.

In his opening presentation, Huawei Cloud APAC President Zeng Xingyun highlighted Huawei Cloud’s rapid breakthroughs in the big data and AI markets. In 2023, overall cloud activity in Asia Pacific is expected to increase by 77%, the number of Big Data and AI projects to increase fivefold, and revenues to increase tenfold. The Cloud for AI strategy helps organizations ensure their cloud infrastructure supports the effective use of AI. In “AI for Cloud,” Pangu models bridge the gap between AI and industry needs through powerful scenarios and industry-specific models. For example, the Pangu automotive model enables AI-assisted vehicle design, while the Pangu weather model enables typhoon tracking.

At the summit, Huawei Cloud launched the product portfolio for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), including HECS X Instance, HECS L Instance, HCCE and HGaussDB, which will be available in April. It shows how Huawei Cloud supports the shift from elastic to flexible computing, meeting customer needs with adaptive on-demand computing.
