“Sham Shui Po, being one of the most populous administrative districts in Hong Kong with a population of approximately 400,000, has chosen to host its first major family Esports event with Yesports with the central theme of bringing Family Value + Esports together,” commented from Mr. Timothy Shen, Head of Yesports Master Club. “Building on the success of this highly regarded event, Yesports is set to launch a series of district-focused events with the other 17 districts in Hong Kong to help develop youth, family values and recognize that the esport is officially admitted as an official medal tournament at the Asian Games in September and is expected to be included in the Olympics in 2024.”
The event, which was organized by the Home Affairs Department of the Sham Shui Po District Office, coordinated and planned by the Sham Shui Po Residents’ Association and the Hong Kong Wuyi Youth Association, co-hosted by Yesports Master Club and Hong Kong Brick Rail LUG, fully supported by Yesports Media Limited, has received support from the Hong Kong SAR Department of Home Affairs, to create a fun family event that provides a stage for young people and promotes culture and the sportsmanship of esports and brings the community together for a weekend of interesting and fun activities. .
During the 2-day event, the finals for
Hong Kong Esports Master Cup 2023 – King of Glory Tournament for the open section and the university section also took place and the winners were announced.
The champion team of the university section, which is also the support team of Yesports Master Club, will have the opportunity to go to Hangzhou to compete with the champion of the Hangzhou King of Glory competition, exchange ideas with Hangzhou players, improve skills and strengthen youth exchanges and cooperation between Hangzhou and Hong Kong.
