Here is the list of qualified hotels and attractions for international travelers in HCMC in Vietnam

Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City released a list on February 18 of hotels and attractions that will be eligible for foreign tourists arriving in the city in the near future.

According to the city’s Ministry of Tourism, most hotels are located in Districts 1, 3, and 5, including:

Rex Hotel

Sheraton Saigon Hotel,

InterCotinental Saigon Hotel,

Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint,

Liberty Central Saigon Center Riverside,

Liberty Central Saigon Center,

Vien Dong hotel,

Silverland Sakyo,

Windsor Plaza Hotel

Equatorial Hotel

Novotel Saigon Center

Ramana Saigon

Eastin Grand Saigon

In order to be eligible to serve foreign visitors, the hotels must strictly comply with the regulations for the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic and other rules in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Municipal People’s Committee, according to a representative of the city’s Ministry of Tourism, adding that the hotels are chosen on the basis of voluntary registration.

Before the pandemic, the city welcomed more than 8.6 million foreign visitors in 2019, equivalent to nearly half of the total foreign arrivals in Vietnam.

The local authorities also announced six attractions that made it possible to welcome foreign tourists back, these are:

Saigon Skydeck Observatory in the Bitexco Financial Tower.

In related news, Nguyen Khoa Luan, director of Anh Viet Hop on-Hop off Vietnam Company, has suggested using double-decker buses to transport passengers from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to reduce the congestion.

In a written document submitted to the city’s Ministry of Tourism, he said the company will support the transportation of visitors from the airport to the city center. The double-decker buses can run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, and one bus can carry up to 80 passengers, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The Ministry of Tourism has eased restrictions on tourists arriving in Vietnam under an ongoing vaccine passport testing program before a full reopening of tourism in mid-March.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued new guidelines on Thursday to welcome foreign arrivals, in effect from now until March 15, allowing foreign tourists and overseas Vietnamese to arrive in Vietnam on regular commercial flights, rather than just charter flights.
