Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City released a list on February 18 of hotels and attractions that will be eligible for foreign tourists arriving in the city in the near future.
According to the city’s Ministry of Tourism, most hotels are located in Districts 1, 3, and 5, including:
- Rex Hotel
- Sheraton Saigon Hotel,
- InterCotinental Saigon Hotel,
- Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint,
- Liberty Central Saigon Center Riverside,
- Liberty Central Saigon Center,
- Vien Dong hotel,
- Silverland Sakyo,
- Windsor Plaza Hotel
- Equatorial Hotel
- Novotel Saigon Center
- Ramana Saigon
- Eastin Grand Saigon

In related news, Nguyen Khoa Luan, director of Anh Viet Hop on-Hop off Vietnam Company, has suggested using double-decker buses to transport passengers from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to reduce the congestion.

In a written document submitted to the city’s Ministry of Tourism, he said the company will support the transportation of visitors from the airport to the city center. The double-decker buses can run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, and one bus can carry up to 80 passengers, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The Ministry of Tourism has eased restrictions on tourists arriving in Vietnam under an ongoing vaccine passport testing program before a full reopening of tourism in mid-March.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued new guidelines on Thursday to welcome foreign arrivals, in effect from now until March 15, allowing foreign tourists and overseas Vietnamese to arrive in Vietnam on regular commercial flights, rather than just charter flights.
