Not regretting my decisions was definitely a process – apparently it’s a common experience for people. So my colleagues Rebecca Knight And Britney Nguyen Broken how to experience career, overcome and ultimately regret your career less.
Two expert pieces of advice in their story really resonated with me: forgive yourself and recognize that enough can be done over. Since it’s a tough time in the tech industry right now, I hope this appeals to some of you as well.

Googlers reluctantly test their company’s ChatGPT competitor. CEO Sundar Pichai asked every employee spend several hours testing Google’s new chatbot Bard. It was the search engine’s answer to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. But Googlers don’t exactly enjoy testing it.
- Employees grumble about the extra responsibility, especially so soon after 12,000 Googlers were laid off. They were tasked with improving Bard by asking him questions and marking bad answers, in addition to their normal responsibilities.
- Unenthusiastic employees used internal forums to complain about the new job. Some made memes of the conversations they had with Bard, and moved on to one trend to mock the chatbot internally.
- An employee asked Bard to tell a joke about the layoffs at Google, according to leaked messages seen by Insider. It replied with, “I’d tell you a joke about layoffs at Google, but I’m afraid I won’t have a job tomorrow.”
