Google Fi VPN Rolls Out To iPhone Ahead Of Apple Private Relay: Release Date, Features, and More

Google Fi VPN is confirmed to roll out to iPhone users. The tech giant company said that it is now expanding its latest built-in VPN service to more smartphone users.

“Starting today, we’re expanding our built-in VPN to iPhone,” said the search engine giant via its official Twitter account.

“With the Fi VPN, you get a private online connection and more protection from hackers included on all plans,” added Google.

The comment section of Google’s latest tweet was able to generate various opinions from its fans. One of the commentators suggested that the search engine giant should focus on adding Verizon next to one of its towers.

The Twitter user added that Google should also add more memory since the current offered 22GB is not enough.

Google Fi VPN iOS Version’s Details

According to Mac Rumors’ latest report, the new Google Fi VPN version for iOS devices rollout sooner than expected. The search engine giant already teased that the security service could soon be released this coming spring.

However, the tech giant firm still hasn’t released the final launch date of Google Fi VPN for iPhone. Google announced the arrival of its new built-in VPN service ahead of the released date of Apple’s so-called Private Relay, which is another security service.

Like Apple Private Relay, Google Fi VPN allows you to stream, browse, and install files and applications over a private and encrypted connection. This new technology is pretty important, especially since many public WiFi services are not safe to use.

On the other hand, Google Support Page provided other features of the new Fi VPN service:

• Prevent websites from using your IP address to track your location.
• Shield against hackers on unsecured networks (like public Wi-Fi).

How To Use Google Fi VPN? 

1. The first thing you need to do is install the Google Fi App. Once installed, you need to create an account. 
2. After that, just scroll down to your Phone settings. 
3. Then, you must click the “Privacy and Security” option. 
4. Toggle on the “Protect Your Online Activity” option and then check the status bar symbol. Once it appears, your Google Fi VPN is properly working.
