    The total number of new cases as of March 31 was 80,838, 11 of which were imported and 80,827 domestic.

    According to information on the afternoon of March 31 from the Ministry of Health, Vietnam registered 80,838 new infections, of which 11 were imported and 80,827 cases were detected in 62 provinces and cities.

    For example, the number of infections has decreased by 4,932 today compared to the day before. The entire country also registered 56,105 cases in the community. Today, the Hung Yen Department of Health recorded an additional 11,517 cases.

    Provinces and cities with more than 2000 recorded cases are: Hanoi (8,054), Phu Tho (3,415), Nghe An (3,399), Yen Bai (3,156), Dak Lak (3,107), Lao Cai (2,981), Hai Duong (2,864 ), Bac Giang (2,688), Quang Ninh (2,509), Quang Binh (2,352), Ha Giang (2,344), Lang Son (2,159), Vinh Phuc (2,039).

    The places where the number of infections fell the most compared to the previous day were Bac Giang (-1,311), Lang Son (-466), Binh Duong (-383). In contrast, the 3 places with the highest number of infections compared to the previous day were Hai Duong (+1,081), Vinh Long (+188), Quang Ngai (+154).

    The average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days is 91,762 cases per day.

    Since the start of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 9,564,609 infections and ranks 12th out of 225 countries and territories. Especially for the fourth outbreak (from April 27, 2021 to the present), the number of new infections in the country stands at 9,556,876.

    Places with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,474,782), Ho Chi Minh City (594,585), Nghe An (391,871), Binh Duong (376,566), Hai Duong (344,058).

    39 deaths in the last 24 hours

    – Status of the treatment

    According to information from the Ministry of Health, as of March 31, the entire country counted 250,482 people who had recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of people who have been cured so far to 7,519,013.

    There are still 2,975 severe Covid-19 patients being treated across the country, including 2,379 people with oxygen masks, 281 with high-flow oxygen (HFNC), 99 with non-invasive ventilators and 216 with invasive ventilators. and no patient required ECMO intervention.

    From March 30, 5:30 PM to March 31, 5:30 PM, Vietnam recorded 39 deaths in: Ben Tre (5), Binh Thuan (4), Cao Bang (4 cases in 2 days), Phu Yen (4), Bac Lieu (2), Dak Lak (2), Lam Dong (2), Quang Ninh (2), Soc Trang (2), Vinh Long (2), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (1), Ca Mau (1 ) ), Gia Lai (1 ), Ha Nam (1), Ha Tinh (1), Hau Giang (1), Lang Son (1), Quang Ngai (1), Tay Ninh (1), HCMC (1).

    So today is the day Vietnam recorded the lowest number of deaths in the past 56 days (286 cases were recorded since February 3rd).

    The average number of recorded deaths in the past 7 days is 50 cases. The total number of deaths from Covid-19 in Vietnam so far is 42,493, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.

    Total number of deaths ranked by 24/227 areas, number of deaths per million people ranked by 130/227 countries and areas in the world.

    Compared to Asia, the total number of deaths stands at 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per million people at 25/49 Asian countries and territories (4th in ASEAN).

    – Vaccination progress

    On March 30, 224,848 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses injected is 206,106,897 doses, of which:

    + Number of injections for individuals 18 years and older is 188,929,522 doses: 1st dose is 71,234,891 doses; The second dose is 68,040,384 doses; The third dose is 1,503,535 doses; The supplemental dose is 14,913,043 doses; The booster dose is 33,237,669 doses.

    + Number of doses for children aged 12-17 years is 17,177,375 doses: 1st dose is 8,803,806 doses; The second dose is 8,373,569 doses.Today, the Ministry of Health announced two vaccines against Covid-19 for children aged 5 to under 12, namely Pfizer (Comirnaty) vaccine, 0.2ml injection dose and Moderna vaccine, 0.25ml dose.

    associate Prof. dr. dr. Duong Thi Hong, deputy director of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Hanoi), said that from April, once the vaccine is provided, all 63 provinces and cities across the country will deploy copper injection. series.

    Associate professor Hong also asked the places to note that for children aged 5-11, only one vaccine should be given to a young person for 2 injections, not mixed.
