Drop tests are the kind of videos that give little to no practical information and are a squeaky watch for most people. But they can be fun for those with the right mindset.
Guys at AllApplePro pitted the Galaxy S21 Ultra against the iPhone 12 Pro Max in a drop test that starts at waist level and ends at ceiling height.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra lost a lens cover and cracked its screen, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max smashed its back panel. Here is the full video.
These types of tests are far from scientific, don’t read much in the video. Normally you need a machine to make sure both phones touch the ground at the exact same angle. And you need a new phone for every drop – once you drop a phone, it’s compromised, so subsequent drops aren’t really relevant to its actual performance.
