The authorities believe that this project will increase the happiness of all visitors entering the city.
All tourists entering DaNang will receive a free 4G Vinaphone mobile SIM card, thanks to a joint ‘happiness’ project launched by Danang Tourism Promotion Centre, Danang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT) and VNPT Danang together on April 20, 2022 along the message “Enjoy Danang”.
A free 4G SIM card program will be held from April to June 2022, offering 50,000 free SIM cards to international tourists. With the given SIM card, tourists will have 2 GB of internet data every day and 1000 minutes of Vinaphone calls within 30 days from the activation date.
The program aims to make a good impression on international tourists, support them with connectivity and enhance their destination experience through digital engagement.
“One of the main concerns of tourists traveling abroad is access to the internet for information and communication. We hope that the SIM card, our little gift, can make a good impression on tourists and help them find more information about Danang, so that they will really “enjoy Danang”, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Director of Danang Center for Tourism Promotion said.
Tourists can get the SIM card at the information desk of Danang Visitor Center in the International Terminal, at Danang International Airport.
On April 20, 2022, more than 150 passengers on Singapore Airlines flight SQ172 and Thai Vietjet Air flight VZ960 received a free 4G SIM card.
“The initiative to provide 4G SIM cards for free has come on time and highlighted the hospitality and friendliness of Danang, which is also an unforgettable experience for tourists,” said Mr. Ho The Anh, General Manager of AHT.
On March 27, 2022, AHT and Danang Department of Tourism organized the “Welcome back world” event to celebrate the relaunch of the international flight. Since then, Danang International Airport has welcomed 29 international flights carrying 2560 passengers. More flights from Singapore, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia will soon return to Danang with a frequency of 41 flights per week.
